Classic Hot 26 + 2 Posture Workshop with World Champion Almania Colombo

Become a stronger and more disciplined practitioner by learning from one of London’s best yoga teachers and world champion Almania. Attending this workshop will take your yoga practice to the next level. Join us for a posture workshop where we will focus on the Standing & Floor Series of our Classic Hot Yoga class. We will practice the postures, get extra alignment corrections and you can ask all the questions you’ve ever had!

After the first Bikram yoga class, where Almania was wearing sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt and had to leave the room, thinking she would never go back in, Almania decided to try Bikram yoga again in the fall of 2010. Mainly she was trying to find a way to keep warm, since the heat wasn’t working properly in her flat. After her first two weeks at the studio, someone convinced her to take part in the 30 day challenge. Once she finished the 30 days, she decided to double it and make it a 60 day challenge. In 2011 she completed the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training. She has extensively traveled and practiced in different studios and countries ever since. In 2013 Almania entered her first competition. She won the European Championship in 2015, 2017, and 2019, and the International Championship in 2016 and 2018.

Hips & Splits on Saturday the 18th of February at 2 pm
Create hip flexibility and make your hips happy! Learn hip openers with Sorcha to help create space for postures such as splits and lotus. By working on hip openers you increase mobility in the pelvis, strengthen and stretch the glutes & thighs while releasing any tension in the lower back. When you open your hips, poses that seemed totally impossible can suddenly become fun and accessible!
Forearm balancing on Saturday the 25th of March at 2 pm
Learn how to balance on your forearms and more! The Forearm Stand is a balancing inversion. It is a challenging posture and is such good preparation for even more challenging backbends and arm balances. Getting a feel for kicking up can take some time, especially if you’re new to inversions. With Sorcha’s tips, techniques, teaching and practice, you will build your confidence and learn how to balance in these inversions!
